White Bunny Candle Holder

The white bunny is a recurring symbol in many cultures. In English folklore a rabbit’s foot is carried for good luck. In Korea and Japan white rabbits are said to live on the moon and create sticky rice treats, while in Vietnamese mythology the rabbit portrays innocence and youthfulness.

Rabbits are often seen as a symbol of vitality, rebirth and resurrection because of their prolific breeding. The average doe gives birth to between 4 and 12 babies in a litter, with only a 30 day gestation period and a nine month season meaning a female can produce up to 108 offspring every year.

This porcelain rabbit, procured by Dagmar Holubova for her Collection of International Treasures for the Home, is ten centimetres in height and will carry a candle in his back for you while sitting quietly on your table. You won’t be disappointed with this beautiful, cute, quirky glazed porcelain candle holder, and thankfully it won’t be reproducing at the rate of a real bunny.
